The article is devoted to the theoretical and practical aspects of assessing cultural heritage as part of the cultural environment, a resource for socio-economic and sustainable development, taking into account the concept of the economy of impressions. Its involvement made it possible to develop a universal algorithm for assessing impressions from visiting attractions and cultural heritage sites, for the creation of which general scientific theoretical research methods (analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, analogy), empirical research methods (observation, questioning), as well as the method of conditional estimates. In the algorithm, the author identifies four stages required for the assessment: concept development, research to evaluate impressions, qualitative and quantitative analysis of the information received, and the behavior of the results. This algorithm is proposed to be applied for the State Autonomous Institution of Culture of the Republic of Crimea "Livadia Palace Museum". The scientific novelty of the article lies in the refinement (development of the formula and the assessment scale) and the use in practice of the algorithm for assessing the impressions of visitors to cultural heritage sites. The practical significance of the study is determined by the possibilities of using this algorithm to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of cultural heritage sites, search for prospects for the development of tourism and improve the quality of the cultural environment. Also, the results of the research can be used by museums to attract potential visitors.
