The article focuses on a way of how to organize technical university students’ educational activities when study systems of the first order differential equations in the higher mathematics course on “Differential equations”. The specificity of the approach proposed deals with the actualization of the practically oriented topic under study, which is the most important factor for students to successfully solve various types of engineering problems in their future professional activities.
