Algorithms of recognition of the face on the basis of the operator local directions

Methods for solving the problem of recognition of frontal faces are considered on the basis of the operator "local directed patterns" (LNS). Algorithms for selecting facial features using the LNS operator are presented. The results of an experimental study of the developed algorithms are presented, the advantages of the LNS are determined, and a comparative analysis of the recognition results is carried out using the features of the face image extracted with the help of various operators of the family of local patterns.
