In Kalmyk culture the idea of motion is connected with the nomadic way of life in past. It characterizes the worldview of Kalmyk nomads, symbolizing prosperity and well-being. In Russian and English lingvocultures the notion “movement” has an ambiguous interpretation - both positive and negative - due to the internal and external conditions for the existence of these nations.
