American counterintelligence refines priorities

The author examines some aspects of the reform to which American counter-intelligence has been subjected since the beginning of the 21st century. The article contains a detailed analysis of the «National Counter-intelligence Strategy - 2016», which in many ways represents a balanced and realistic document that reflects the serious concern of the US leadership to the state of affairs in the field of national security. The Strategy 2016 identifies five main objectives (mission objectives) in the field of counter-intelligence national security. It also formulates two problems that, according to the developers of the document, should help to achieve these objectives.
