The paper describes an analytical model of the density of the Earth upper atmosphere SBM-2022 for ballistic analyses of the spacecraft motion parameters. The model is described by analytic formulas mostly derived from statistical processing of data on spacecraft deceleration. It provides a comparative analysis of simulations of the Earth upper atmospheric density within the 120.1500 km range of altitudes using the newly developed model SBM-2022 and the frequently used atmospheric density models DMA-2004, MSIS00, MSIS2.0, MET-07 under undisturbed and disturbed heliogeophysical conditions. The comparison has shown that the newly developed density model SBM-2022 at the altitudes of 200.800 km during the fall period is close to the model DMA-2004, and in certain cases, for example, in winter conditions at the altitudes of 250.700 km, in terms of density values it falls in between foreign models and the Russian model DMA-2004. The SBM-2022 model, along with other models can be recommended for practical use in trajectory and navigation support of low-orbit spacecraft flight.
