Analysis of the activities of customs authorities in the reflection of financial and economic threats to the national security of the modern Russian state

The article analyzes the issues of ensuring the economic security of the country by the customs authorities of Russia. The key areas of activity of the Federal Customs Service of Russia to date in the imperative of ensuring the observance of the economic interests of the state are briefly characterized. The analysis of Russia's foreign trade was carried out: turnover, export and import. A trend of growth in foreign trade turnover was revealed, with the exception of 2019 and 2020, which is associated with anti-epidemiological measures. At the same time, the level of 2021 exceeded the value of 2018 (pre-pandemic), which indirectly may indicate the effectiveness of the measures taken by the Russian authorities to develop foreign economic activity, including customs. The important role of the FCS of Russia in ensuring compliance with prohibitions and restrictions, including in the import substitution imperative, is also indicated. This area acquires additional relevance in the context of the sanctions confrontation in February-March 2022. In the final part of the work, the main conclusions are formulated.
