Analysis of dynamics and prospects for motor tyres disposal within the concept of smart city development

The concept of the development of Smart City attracts more and more attention today. According to this approach, urban space should be implemented from the position of improving the quality of life of the citizens. Smart Environment is one of the most important parts of Smart City. It implies the rational use of resources and the improvement of life quality, due to improving the environmental situation in the regions. In the world practice of smart cities development, the processes of recycling and waste recovery are becoming increasingly popular. Recycling allows us to save the material and energy resources and improving the quality of the environment in the regions. One of the key environmental problems in Russia is the problem of disposal of motor tyres. Despite the new environmentally friendly ways to dispose of the tyres, the problem becomes more and more acute every year, due to the number of cars. At present, decommissioned tires are the environmental pollution in most of the Russian regions. At the same time, this source of pollution is a source of a long-term nature. It depends on the fact that worn tires are practically not amenable to natural decomposition, and, therefore, require an increase in areas for their storage and disposal. A critical analysis of the dynamics and prospects of tire recycling in the framework of the concept of smart cities development, as well as a comparative analysis of the state of this issue in the Russian and foreign practice are provided. In addition, the article provides a forecast analysis of the increase in waste in the form of tyres and analysis of the regulatory framework governing the recycling process.
