Analysis of factors of formation of cruise tourism clusters in the Russian Federation

The need to transform the cruise tourism sector is due to a number of reasons, such as changing tourist preferences, higher demands on the quality of the tourist product, increased competition, the political situation in the world, an emphasis of the domestic tourism industry, and others. The listed challenges of the cruise tourism sector require the creation of new approaches and research tools in order to unlock the potential of cruise tourism in Russia. In particular, of the spatial approach, the tool for identifying promising territories for organizing sea cruise tourism by forming tourist and recreational clusters of cruise tourism is of particular relevance. The relevance of the work is to propose a new approach to systematizing data on cruise tourism, which can contribute to its development. The objectives of the study are: substantiation of the importance of studying the sphere of sea cruise tourism, identification of prerequisites for organizing sea cruise tourism in Russia, proposals for the development of this industry. The article is an overview of the general factors of the formation of sea cruise tourism in Russia through the analysis of scientific publications of the authors involved in the study of this issue, a tool for the formation of tourist and recreational clusters of cruise tourism in the country. To this end, the article highlights the factors of formation of a tourism and recreation cluster and puts forward an assumption about promising areas for the creation of clusters in Russia.
