Analysis of Federal Laws in the Field of Mainline Transport for New Regions of the Russian Federation

The article provides an analysis of federal laws pertaining to mainline transport in the context of the newly incorporated regions of the Russian Federation, namely the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zapo-rozhye and Kherson regions. The relevance of this study stems from the imperative to adapt transport legislation to align with Russian legal norms, coupled with the exigency of ensuring a seamless integration of these territories’ transport infrastructure into the unified mainline transport system of the country. The aim of the study is to identify key legislative acts regulating the development of mainline transport, determine their impact on the transport system of new regions and analyze existing problems and barriers in the process of legal integration. In the course of the work, the main regulatory acts determining the development of the transport industry in the Russian Federation, their ap-plicability to the new regions, as well as the key trends and directions of modernization of the legal framework in this area are considered. Based on the analysis of legislation and the current state of the transport infrastructure of the new regions, prospects for further improvement of regulatory regulation have formed. The work may be useful for experts in the field of transport law, government agencies involved in infrastructure development, as well as for the scientific community studying the issues of legal integration of new subjects of the Russian Federation.
