Analysis and modeling of business processes in a trade organization

The article substantiates the relevance of the process approach in managing a trade organization, examines the experience of leading authors in this field, and provides popular software products for modeling business processes. The process approach makes it possible to organize the work of a trade organization more effectively, optimizing internal processes and increasing their transparency. The paper examines approaches to the classification of business processes. The top-level models of a small trade organization developed by the author in the ASPRA Start environment are presented, followed by the decomposition of the “Purchase”, “Acceptance of goods”, and “Sale of goods” subprocesses, as well as diagrams in IDEF0 notation illustrating some business processes. The author’s proposals for solving the problem of building business processes in small businesses, namely in trade, are given. The article will be of interest to managers of trade organizations and researchers involved in business process modeling.
