The analysis and assessment of cost efficiency of application of satellite methods in geodetic measurements

The satellite technologies for the first time appeared in the early nineties in Russia and at once found broad application in topographical and geodetic production. High precision, saving of time and labor expenses led to intensive introduction of this method in geodesy. In article, the approach to performance of geodetic measurements based on use of spatial methods of measurements with application as reference points of instant provisions of artificial Earth satellites is briefly considered. Comparison of technical and economic indicators of use of traditional methods of geodetic measurements with satellite methods is given.
