Analysis and assessment of sown areas of agricultural crops in the Kyrgyz Republic

The purpose of the scientific article is to consider the areas of agricultural crops, since agriculture is a key sector of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. It employs about 40% of the country's workforce and accounts for about 20% of the gross domestic product. Unfortunately, this sector has been slow to modernize, and the growth rate is not sufficient to reduce poverty and ensure food security in rural areas. Misuse of cultivated areas and inefficient combined and mixed cropping practices have led to the degradation of agricultural land. In addition, water mismanagement, long a problem in the country, continues to hamper production. Based on the results of the analysis, recommendations were proposed to support small and medium-sized businesses in the Kyrgyz Republic.
