Education is the only mechanism for the development of human society. The education system is the basis of the country's security and viability, which requires effective design and management tools. The lack of a unified scientific methodology for assessing the development of the education system leads to the formation of a false perception of the situation in the field of education. This article analyzes models for assessing the impact of education on the socio-economic development of the region, on the basis of which the question is raised of developing a new scientific methodology and an integrated management system for the development of education in a regional environment with decomposition into different levels of management, taking into account invariant parameters and objective laws of development.
