The analysis of the investment potential of Karaganda region and prospects of its development

The relevance of the study is due to the need to implement a reasonable investment policy aimed at the prospect of regional development. In this regard, this paper is aimed at identifying the availability of production and financial resources in Karaganda region, defining the effectiveness of their use, as well as revealing the investment potential and the possibilities for further development of the region. The leading approaches used in the study are comparative analysis and monitoring of statistical information. Based on the data obtained, an attempt was made to identify the main trends and opportunities for using investment potential for the development of the region. As a result of the study, patterns associated with investing exclusively in industrial production were identified, while the development of other industries is significantly slowed down. In this regard, it was concluded that it is necessary to create favorable conditions and incentives for investing in the industries that are of the greatest importance to the population. According to the authors, it is possible to significantly increase the competitiveness of the region by enlarging investment in human capital. It is this approach that can ensure the further socio-economic development of the region, by obtaining and introducing new knowledge and their subsequent practical application.
