Analysis of Nikolay P. Onorsky's historical and literary articles in the Brockhaus and Efron encyclopedic dictionary

In the article the scientific heritage of the first head of the Department of Foreign Languages of Perm State University Nikolay P. Obnorsky is analyzed - his entries in the Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary written by him in his youth. It tells about the life of Nikolai Petrovich, first of all, about his Petersburg period, in which the works mentioned were published. Their thematic analysis is given, scientific sources are considered, especially those to which Obnorsky applied most often, examples of his entries are given and his style features are denoted.
