The purpose of the article is to carry out a technical and economic assessment of the use of electric motors with upgraded characteristics at the booster compressor station. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were solved: to study the available material on this topic; to consider the activities carried out within the framework of the energy saving program at the booster compressor station; to calculate the technical and economic characteristics of the use of modern electric motors. The novelty of the work lies in the systematization of primary data on the topic of the study, as well as the technical and economic calculation of the use of modern electric motors. To solve the tasks in the article such methods as analysis, synthesis, description, generalization, calculation, comparison are used. The result of the study is as follows: it was shown that it is more profitable to use electric motors of the FLS450LB or Fless160LU type in booster compressor stations.
