Analysis of economic prospects of polymineral salt deposits development in the Kaliningrad region

The discovery of several deposits of potassium and magnesium salts and polyhalite on the territory of the Kaliningrad region determines the possibility of creating large mining and chemical companies. The chemical composition of ore deposits allows with usage of modern technologies to obtain high - quality and competitive products in demand both in the Russian and international market - sodium chloride and potassium sulfate. The article discusses the prospects of creating large enterprises on the basis of open resources. The comparative analysis of prospects of development of various fields is made, influence of the project on economy of the Kaliningrad region is estimated, and the market of sale of production is investigated.
