An analysis of exports of processed timber from the Russian Federation

In this paper we attempt to use when analyzing the dynamics of the evaluation of processed timber exports not only natural, but the cost parameters in the time period from 2000 to 2013. Feature work is to estimate the elasticity of demand for treated wood and building economic model based on statistical data, allows to predict the value of exports of processed timber depending on the weight of exports. The studies were obtained the following results: 3 тo collect, organize and analyze information on exports of processed timber products from the Russian Federation; 3 revealed a strong variation in the weight and value of exports in the analyzed period; 3 estimated cost and weight of the dynamics of exports of processed timber products from the Russian Federation with the release of specific time intervals; 3 develop appropriate economic model, depending on the value of the weight of the export value of exports of processed timber; 3 revealed inelasticity of demand for sawn timber for export from the Russian Federation; 3 to build an adequate statistical model of weight change of exports of processed timber; 3 a forecast of the dynamics of weight and value of exports of processed timber products for 2014, 2015 and 2016. Results of the analysis of exports of processed timber can be used in the formation of areas of foreign economic activity of the Russian Federation, the forecast budget revenues from the export of timber and the development of strategic planning documents in the forestry sector. It is advisable to carry out such research on an ongoing basis in order to create the database and improve approaches to forecasting foreign trade.
