The analysis of evolution of the approaches to economy structuring and assessment of the balance of its development

The paper studies the evolution of approaches to the assessment of the balance of economic development based on different methods of its structuring in the framework of the economic space theory. Accordingly, in the modern scientific literature, there are a lot of debatable ways of structuring the region's economy, the analysis of which has allowed the author to systematize and identify the typical features of the category under consideration. The study of the presented evolution is necessary to assess the prospects of the regional development directions, taking into account the viability (or unsustainability) of the scientific theories that have been analysed.
