Analysis of the conceptual foundations of household investment activity in the Russian economy

This scientific article is devoted to the analysis of the conceptual foundations of household investment activity in the Russian economy. In light of the economic importance of households as key consumers and investors, the study of their investment activity becomes particularly relevant. Within the framework of this scientific article, the essential characteristics of such categories as investments, investment activities and households are disclosed. And also, the author’s definition of the category of investment activity of households is given. The dynamics and structure of household savings and investments in the Russian Federation for the period from 2017 to 2022 inclusive are analyzed. The features of these processes within the framework of the coronavirus pandemic (in 2020) and the tightening of the foreign economic and foreign policy confrontation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the “Western world” in 2022 are determined. The features of the investment behavior of households in different time periods are determined. The final conclusions and prospects regarding the research topic are formed.
