The present paper is a summary analysis of cultural values in Russian youth and Central Asian migrants, carried out by our research team in 2019-2021 using the methodology of the Dutch scholar Geert Hofstede. The sociological study according to the method of G. Hofstede, which involved 404 participants: 182 representatives of Russian youth and 222 representatives of Central Asian migrant communities, determined the following indicators: Power distance index (PDI), Individualism vs. collectivism (IDV), Masculinity vs. femininity (MAS), Uncertainty avoidance (UAI), Long-term orientation vs. short-term orientation (LTO). Among the results obtained, we can note the low power distance, individualism, masculinity, a high degree of uncertainty avoidance, and an average level of long-term orientation, which are common for the respondents of both groups. At the same time, compared to Russians, young migrants are characterized by a lower level of individualism, a smaller power distance, a lower level of uncertainty avoidance, but a higher level of masculinity and long-term orientation. Socio-economic, cultural-religious and psychological factors have been identified as major determinants of these differences.
