Analysis of laboratory methods for diagnosing syphilis in Bishkek over a five-year period

The article analyzes laboratory methods for diagnosing syphilis in Bishkek over a five-year period. The advantages and limitations of various techniques are considered, discrepancies in results are identified, and the most effective combinations of methods recommended for practical use by laboratory specialists and dermatovenereologists are determined. Despite the wide range of laboratory methods, significant unresolved issues remain in syphilis diagnostics. Direct methods for detecting T. pallidum play an important role in the early stages of the disease, but serological tests remain the cornerstone of diagnosis.
