The article analyzes the personality and management style of the head of a modern small business using a management style formation model. It is shown that this manager cannot have a set of only one quality, since there is a combination of them with a predominance of either positive or negative. The article also highlights the main management styles of managers of a small enterprise, depending on the psychological characteristics of the person and the business environment, which allows them to treat him as a temporary phenomenon. The article also recommends that the scientific community avoid the image of the “ideal leader” of a small business and focus on the study of negative personal qualities that influence the formation of its management style.
