The analysis of the mathematical model of vegetable impurities’ removal with a rotary potato digger separator

The article analyzes the mathematical model of the separation process ofplant impurities by rotary separator. In the conditions of the Irkutsk region it is preferable to use rotary separators. Mechanical damage to potato tubers is a consequence of many reasons, such as growing conditions: soil type, humidity and temperature, and most importantly, the design of harvesting machines. To optimize the operating mode of the rotary separator of the potato digger, studies were conducted on a test machine: an experimental sample of a mounted two-row potato digger was made, comprising a new design of a digging unit and a rotary soil separator. An important result of the experiments was the obtaining of a mathematical model of the separation process of plant impurities. The study of the response surface using two-dimensional sections allowed to establish the relationship of the studied factors and to solve the problem of optimization of the parameters and operating modes of the separator.
