It is examined the mechanism of work of caterpillar track joints on a tractor driving wheel working under different regimes. The possibility of moving with glide of the joints on the driving wheel cogs is shown, that to increasable wear and tear of the cogs and joints. Some proposals on reducing these negative phenomenons are given.
