The biofiltration process of industrial effluent of nitrocellulose production was investigated. The analysis of the microbial communities evolution in the biofiltration system was carried out. It is noted that submerged biofilter provided complex removal of organic and such inorganic compounds as nitrate, nitrite and sulfate.
