Analysis of necessity and availability of professional abilities and skills of employees in the field of physical education and sports

The author uses the methods of evidence management to reveal the labor market problems in the field of physical education and sports because of the inefficient curricula and identify those abilities that are in demand on the labour market but are insufficiently developed during education. The research provides a technique for collecting and processing data on the labor market requirements in the context of physical education and sports for professional skills, knowledge and abilities of employees. This technique includes a sociological study on the necessity and availability of professional abilities and skills of employees involved in physical education and sports activities according to a survey of heads of sports organizations and coaches. It allows implementing a career-focused approach to the development of the competency-based model among the Bachelor and Master’s Degree students and the design of the main academic programs. The harmonization of the latter with the professional standards, a focus of the academic process on the applying the acquired knowledge will facilitate the adaptation of graduates to the professional environment.
