Based on the rapid development of Internet+ technologies over the past decade, China has created an effective e-business system, and now the number of its customers is gradually approaching the total number of Internet users in the country. During the COVID-19 epidemic, new e-business opportunities arose, the demand to meet people's needs for goods and services remotely determined the intensification of the digitalization of all aspects of Chinese citizens' lives, and it played an important role in maintaining the level of people's well-being already achieved. Nowadays, e-business has become a “key structure” that contributes to China's economic growth. Based on the analysis of the peculiarities of e-business development in China, in this article the author explores their manifestations in the areas of “new” retail, social e-commerce, promotion of goods on the Internet, as well as in rural e-commerce. The article focuses on the future of e-business in China
