Analysis of long-term results of treatment of HIV-infected patients with extreme fastal extremities of long external bones

The aim of the study is to improve the results of treatment of extraarticular fractures of long bones of limbs in HIV-infected patients /Material and research methods. The basis of this study is an analysis of clinical dynamic monitoring of 90 HIV-infected patients aged 23 to 54 years with extraarticular fractures of long bones of the extremities. All patients were treated without taking into account the peculiarities of the course of concomitant HIV infection, the effect of antiretroviral drugs and opportunistic diseases.Results. The study revealed that HIV-infected patients are susceptible primarily to non-infectious complications, including postoperative wounds, aseptic loosening and migration of fixatives, and delayed fracture consolidation. The presence of a statistically significant relationship between the stage of HIV infection, the number of CD-lymphocytes, the ratio of CD4 / CD8-lymphocytes, viral load and the risk of postoperative complications has been proven...
