Analysis of approaches to studying the problem of social loneliness in a big city

This article examines such a socio-cultural problem of modern society as the social loneliness of residents of large cities. Theoretical approaches to the definition of social loneliness are given. The paper considers the works of E. Durkheim, M. Weber, E. Moren, L. Wirth, G. Simmel and E. Kleinenberg, in which the authors give their definitions of the phenomenon of social loneliness in a big city, identify the causes of loneliness in big cities and other features of the urban image life, affecting social ties between townspeople.
