The article aims to analyze the applicability of financial indicators and indicators of the value- based management concept. The purpose of the analysis: to identify a universal model for assessing the investment attractiveness of the company. The article shows the internal and external factors affecting on the investment attractiveness of the company. The positive and negative sides of the indicators are identified and justified. On the basis of the analysis it is proposed to use the value -based management to assess the investment attractiveness of medium and large businesses, as this approach is aimed at the long-term strategy of the company and the growth of equity.
