Analysis of the development of the banking system in the Republic of Azerbaijan

The market reforms that were undertaken in the Republic of Azerbaijan have changed the country’s bank system structure. In order to be tailored to the needs and the scope of action of Azerbaijan, the established national bank system must be duly positioned on the international level. Therefore, the country needs highly capitalized financial institution and a less branched (as it is the currently the case) but more transparent bank system.
