The article is devoted to peculiarities of formation of advertising businnes in Udmurtia in the end of XX - the beginning of XXI. It also tells about the influence of the events which happen in Russia and the republic on advertising process. There are examples of advertisement of goods and service in different advertising transmitters in various time periods. The information about the quantity of advertising agencies is given in the article. It tells about the creation of the association of advertising organizations of the republic, about its aims and the results of its activities. Factors which hamper development of advertising market of Udmurtia are described. There are conclusions about modern state of advertising business and about prospects of its development.
