Analysis of the small and medium-sized enterprises development regional support

The article is devoted to the analysis of the main directions of regional support for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). The work identifies key features and areas of activity of regional authorities aimed at stimulating the development of SMEs. Based on the analysis of statistical data, the role of SMEs in creating jobs, introducing innovations, forming production infrastructure and increasing the level of economic security is considered. The results of sociological surveys are also analyzed, which showed the main problems faced by entrepreneurs: limited access to financing, shortage of qualified personnel, insufficient access to new technologies and innovations. Special attention is paid to the problems of informing the population about the advantages of SMEs and the insufficient activity of social entrepreneurship.
