Analysis of recuperators for ventilation systems in poultry farming

Бесплатный доступ

The poultry industry is one of the most energy-intensive branches of agriculture. A significant amount of energy is spent on providing a comfortable microclimate to preserve the health of birds and maximize productivity. To reduce energy costs while ensuring an optimal microclimate, it is necessary to use energy-saving equipment. One of the possible solutions to save energy is considered - the use of heat recovery units. The paper describes the principle of operation of recuperators and their main types. Companies engaged in the production of recuperators for ventilation systems in poultry houses have been identified. The recuperators were analyzed according to the following technical characteristics: design type, flow diagram of heat carriers, location of the recuperator, availability of an automatic flushing system, minimum outdoor operating temperature, recovery efficiency, material of the recuperator, volumetric air flow.
