The work is devoted to the study of the influence of hydropneumatic damper (GPA) on the performance of a class 1.4 tractor. For example, cultivation was chosen as the operation. The hydropneumatic damper is designed to smoothly start the tractor as part of the aggregate, reduce dynamic loads in the power train, protect the engine from external load fluctuations. Materials and methods: The results of full-scale experimental studies of an experimental (with a GPA in a power train) class 1.4 tractor and a tractor with a transmission similar in characteristics to a serial (with a blocked GPA in a power train) are presented. Discussion and research progress: Having analyzed the oscillograms of realizations of the tractor engine torque and the angular velocity of the engine crankshaft, a correlation-spectral analysis was carried out, which made it possible to qualitatively evaluate the effect of the GPA. Research results: Normalized autocorrelation functions and spectral densities of changes in time of engine torque, engine crankshaft speed are examined in detail. These parameters are compared with similar characteristics of a serial tractor. Conclusion: Based on the results of experimental studies, it was concluded that the use of GPA in the tractor power transmission improves the performance of the tractor.
