Analysis of results of concurrent operations on aortal valve and coronary arteries

The paper focuses on the results of surgical treatment of a group of 128 seriously ill patients suffering from aortal valvular disease and coronary heart disease, who received one-time replacement of the aortal valve and coronary artery bypass grafting. The group included 104 men and 24 women, mean age was 56.41.5 years. Aortal stenosis and its prevalence were observed in 82.8 % (106), while aortal insufficiency and its prevalence -in 17.2 % (22) of patients. A rheumatic process proved to be an etiological factor in 65.6 % of cases, atherosclerotic degeneration and calcinosis in 15.6 % and infective endocarditis in 18.8 %. Hospital lethality amounted to 11 %. The analysis of the results made it possible to determine tactical approaches when trying to surgically treat this category of patients and to decrease the quantity of intraoperative and postoperative complications.
