The article proposes a new scientific interpretation of social factors of uncertainty in the management of modern enterprises and organizations, the prerequisites of which are the value-motivational meanings of employees. In the context of human-centered management, social uncertainty is considered as one of the most significant risk-bearing factors in the management system. It has been theoretically and empirically proved that value-motivational meanings, setting the vector of an individual's behavior in a social and labor environment, can become a potential threat to the security of an enterprise. In social practice, such threats are embodied in such phenomena as: violations of labor discipline and technological discipline, conflict of relationships in a team, a decrease in staff involvement and the formation of a detached view, etc.
