Analysis of the social well-being of the Stavropol territory population

The study presents the results of the research project entitled Social and Cultural Profile of the Region which has been implemented in various regions of Russia since 2005 at the discretion of the Center for the Study of Social and Cultural Changes of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences. One of the project results is the description of the social well-being of the population in Russian regions through the analysis of its three components: social security index, life satisfaction index, and social optimism index. Besides, the financial situation of the population and the nature of the society's identity are examined. A sociological study conducted in the Stavropol Territory shows that the social well-being of the inhabitants of the region in 2017 corresponds to many all-Russian indicators or slightly deviates. The safety, life satisfaction, and social optimism ratios are sufficient for the sustainable development of society.
