Analysis of the socio-cultural component of anthroponyms as part of modern English- and Russian-speaking phraseological units (sports sphere)

This article discusses anthroponyms as part of modern English- and Russian-language phraseological units in sports discourse. The analysis of the language material allowed us to conclude that phraseological units with a nominative function (sports terms) prevail in the field of sports. The comparison of English- and Russian-language phraseological units is also carried out and samples of their translation are given.
