Analysis of the composition, volume and effectiveness of combat operations of fencers, boys and girls with epee

Relevance. In modern fencing, the distance in duels between fencers is becoming closer, which imposes special requirements on the manifestation of speed in the performed combat actions. At the same time, the high speed of motor reaction can negatively affect the effectiveness of the fight due to a decrease in the accuracy of the thrust if the fencer chooses the wrong moment of its application. Undoubtedly, it is determined by the experience of the athlet. Despite this, there are differences in the conduct of fights among boys and girls. This circumstance led to the scientific search. The purpose of the study was to identify the features of the composition, volume and effectiveness of the use of combat operations among fencers depending on the level of qualification, taking into account gender differences. Methods and organization of the study. To determine the main indicators of the composition, volume and effectiveness of combat operations of fencers boys and girls with epee with different levels of qualification, a video analysis of fights at competitions of various levels was carried out: the Russian Championship among cadets 2024 (the level of training of athletes is from 2 sports categories to Candidate Master of Sports); the Russian Championship 2024 (the level of qualification of athletes - from Master of Sports to Honored Master of Sports) sports). 100 fights in the direct elimination round in each of the competitions among women and men were studied. The number of combat actions performed and their effectiveness in the fights of fencers were evaluated. Results of the study. It is revealed that the composition and volume of actions used depends on the gender of athletes. The level of qualification of athletes determines the effectiveness of the use of combat actions in a fight.
