Analysis of the state and prospects for the development of the rail freight transportation market within the framework of the international transport corridor “North-South”

The article considers the processes of participation of the Russian Federation in the development of international transport corridors (ITC) on the example of ITC ‘North-South’. The article describes the history of the North-South ITC development in terms of providing cargo base, modernization and construction of infrastructure at different sections of the North-South ITC. The activity of 3PL-operators of the North-South ITC is analyzed. The prospects for further development of the North-South ITC are assessed, taking into account geographical and economic opportunities.
