Analysis of the current state and development prospects of the venture market in the Russian Federation

Venture capital financing is one of the main ways to finance high-tech and high-risk entrepreneurship. In the current economic conditions, the venture capital market is extremely important, as it helps to reduce the dependence of the Russian economy on imports by creating its own high-tech production. Given the significance and potential of this market, as well as the necessity for its continued development - particularly from the government’s side - it is essential to comprehend the current state, key challenges, opportunities, and risks involved. Within the framework of this article, a detailed analysis of existing research, as well as financial indicators, is carried out to understand the current state of the venture financing market in the Russian Federation. The author concludes that while there is potential for the development of the Russian venture market, without reforming the existing state policy towards venture entrepreneurship, the process of its development may be protracted.
