The paper describes the working conditions of the cutting apparatus of combine harvesters’ headers. The analysis of the wear information of the cutting surfaces of the fingers KG35 379720 of the company New Holland and the fingers Р230.21.000 of combine harvesters ACROS is given. The statistical indicators of wear and the theoretical laws of the distribution of wear information are revealed. It is established that the maximum wear of the cutting surfaces of the fingers is 1.5 mm, while from 70 to 93% of the defected surfaces require their restoration and subsequent hardening. The average time to finger failure KG35 379720 is 21 hectares. Fingers P230.21.000 have an average operating time for failure of 11 hectares.
