Liquidity analysis of the leading banks of Russia

The results of assessing liquidity ratios for a sample of the largest banks in Russia are presented. The methodological basis of the study is the regulatory framework for regulating the liquidity of banks in the Russian Federation. The study it was established that the leading banks of the country have excess liquidity both on the short and long-term (over one year) intervals. No significant difference was found between the liquidity indicators of state-owned banks, large private banks, and, international participation banks. There is only a slight excess of the long-term liquidity indicator of state-owned banks over other market participants.
