Analysis of the state of the main means of inland waterway transport in Russia

Transport plays an important role in the development of the economy. Inland waterway transport, despite the fact that it occupies a small place in the volume of transportation in the transport industry, is essential when servicing large industrial centers located on the banks of rivers and is of paramount importance in Siberia, northern regions, when delivering goods to small rivers. One of the main factors in the development of transport is the development of its material and technical base. It is impossible to plan the development of transport and assess its capabilities without analyzing the state of fixed assets. That is why the research in this article is relevant. The article analyzes the technical equipment of inland waterway transport, the availability and structure of fixed assets, their wear and tear and the rate of renewal.
