Based on the results of data analysis for 2000-2020, a conclusion was made about the multidirectional all-Russian dynamics of the proportion of employed workers in production with harmful and (or) dangerous working conditions due to changes in the methodology and sampling of observation, aging of fixed assets, restoration of control over compliance with working conditions. The indicators of occupational injuries in the Russian Federation for 2016-2020 were considered, the factors that caused the decline in indicators and the causes of accidents at work were substantiated. An analysis of the working conditions of the Kaluga Region revealed a decrease in the number of people employed in jobs with harmful working conditions.
