Analysis of the Soviet and modern schools of translation

The article deals with the comparative analysis of the Soviet and modern schools of translation. There is considered the implementation of the category of adequacy and equivalence in these translations of the French novel into the Russian language. There are revealed the specific features of two translation schools based on the theoretical and empirical research.
