Analysis of the joint operation of thermal and wind power plants on the common grid of the energy system

An energy system containing thermal and wind power plants in its composition is considered. The combined use of traditional and renewable energy sources for electricity generation reduces environmental damage, while at the same time reducing the number of problems existing in energy systems with only WES, such as the dependence of electricity production on wind speed and others. The calculation of electricity generation and fuel consumption by a thermal power plant with a non-functioning and operating wind power plant is performed. The data obtained is summarized in a table. Based on the data obtained, a graph has been constructed showing the dependence of electricity generation at thermal power plants, depending on the operation of the WES, during the year. The amount of money saved on fuel for a thermal power plant (26,117,338 rubles) and the amount of carbon dioxide not released into the atmosphere (25,154.2 tons) during the joint operation of thermal and wind power plants is given.
